Bishop’s Visit to USA and Potential Partnerships

Find below a report from Bishop Emmanuel from his visit to USA.

During my visit to USA, 16th to 30th Oct 2019, I met both old and new potential partners as follows:

  1. Rector of Good Samaritan Church, Philadelphia: Together with 4 others from UK, Kenya and Tanzania, Rev Richard Morgan will be coming to facilitate the Rooted in Jesus discipleship programme, 28th Jan – 1st 2020
  2. 2 Rectors and 2 Bishops of the Anglican Church in America (ACNA): I met these leaders of ACNA from Ohio, South Carolina, and Virginia States with hope of establishing partnerships. One of these Bishops is planning to visit Kenya in June 2020.
  3. Launching Kitale Diocese Diaspora Forum, USA Chapter: I had 2 telephone conference meetings with Diaspora members from Kitale Diocese chaired by Rev Philip Sang who is based in Ohio. They agreed to fund completion of BMGCC Canteen at Cathedral compound.
  4. Visit to Trinity School for Ministry (TSM): I visited the President of this evangelical seminary based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and we are working on partnership for future training of our clergy for advanced degrees.
  5. Meeting at Talus University, Philadelphia: I met with senior leadership team for them to consider partnership with St. Francis School for the Blind. We are in talks with them and Overbrook School for the Blind, Philadelphia, towards establishing official partnership
