YIREH FOUNDATION COMPANY LIMITED

  1. INTRODUCTION

The Yireh Foundation Limited is a non-profit company fully owned by Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Kitale. It was incorporated on 15th April 2020 under the Kenya Companies Act.

Yireh Foundation (YF) is a company limited by guarantee (non-Profit), with no share capital and solely established as an investment arm of the ACK Kitale Diocese. Its primary purpose is to generate income from investments in property, assets, commodities, and financial services for the benefit of resourcing the mission work of the Diocese.

II. MISSION

Yireh Foundation Ltd exists primarily to support the mission of the Anglican Diocese of Kitale, and the following are its foundational statements:

Motto: “Multiply for God’s Kingdom”

Vision Statement: “An effective church investment company”

Mission Statement: “To initiate and manage investments to facilitate Diocesan mission work”

  5. Three Members appointed by the Diocesan Standing Committee of the Synod based on their business expertise and abilities

Composition of Membership of the Company (for AGM)

  1. The Diocesan Bishop
  2. All the other (8) members of the Board of Directors
  3. Two (2) Arcdeacons nominated by the Archdeacons Council
  4. One (1) Clergy and One (1) Laity from each archdeaconry elected by respective archdeaconry synod delegates
  5. Executive Director, Yireh Foundation Ltd
  6. All Chairpersons of the management Boards (MB) of each of the Yireh Subsidiary Companies (BMGCC & Restaurant; Fabrics; Financial Services; Farms; Event & Transport Services; etc)
